November Home Maintenance Checklist for Arizona Homeowners
It’s finally that time of year when we can open the windows, sip our coffee on the patio, and actually enjoy being outdoors! While our friends in colder states are raking leaves and prepping for snow, we Arizonans get the luxury of “sweater weather” without the shovels. But that doesn’t mean our homes don’t need a little TLC this time of year.
Here’s yourNovember Home Maintenance Checklistto keep your home in top shape as we head into the holiday season:
1. Service Your Heating System
Yes, we actuallydouse heat occasionally! Before the first chilly night, turn on your heater to make sure it’s working properly. Replace the air filter and consider scheduling a quick maintenance check — it’ll keep your system efficient and your home cozy.
2. Refresh Your Landscaping
Cooler temps are ideal for planting! Add some fall color with desert-friendly flowers like marigolds or snapdragons. Trim back summer growth and reset your irrigation schedule — your plants don’t need as much water now.
3. Clean Fans, Vents, and Air Returns
We’ve been running those ceiling fans nonstop all summer. Wipe down fan blades, vacuum air returns, and clear out dryer vents. Clean air = happy home.
4. Inspect Weather Stripping
Cool mornings can highlight drafty doors and windows. Check your weather stripping and replace any worn sections to keep the warmth in and the energy bills down.
5. Get Holiday-Ready
If you host friends or family during the holidays, take a moment to test smoke detectors, replace outdoor light bulbs, and tidy up entryways. (Bonus tip: check your guest room — no one likes finding last year’s pool floaties still on the bed!)
6. Enjoy the Season!
November is why we live here! Take time to enjoy the sunshine, hit the Trilogy trails, or catch a sunset on your patio.
At theSold Sisters Group, we’re all about helping you love where you live — and that includes keeping your home happy and healthy. Whether you’re thinking about selling, curious about your home’s value, or just need a trusted local resource, we’re right here in the neighborhood.
