AMKOR Begins Construction on
New Building in Peoria
AMKOR Technology has officially begun construction on its new facility in Peoria. The project broke ground recently, and construction crews are already making progress, with a rapid timeline set to deliver results faster than typical large-scale builds.
The new facility will support AMKOR’s continued growth in the semiconductor industry, providing advanced manufacturing, research, and administrative space. The company’s decision to move quickly reflects the strong demand for semiconductor services and the strategic importance of expanding capacity.
“This is an important step for us, and we are pleased to join the Peoria community,” an AMKOR spokesperson said. “Our goal is to move efficiently and deliver a world-class facility that supports both our operations and the local economy.”
